Monthly Public Programs
HAL5 monthly public meetings are held First Thursday of the month, except for holidays or other circumstances, at the main auditorium of Huntsville-Madison County Main Public Library at 915 Monroe Street in downtown Huntsville. The main auditorium is on the right when you come in the main entrance's first door.
Our meetings starts at 7 pm and usually concludes at 9 pm. The meeting also provides a great opportunity for the audience to interact with the speakers before and post talk through questions and answers or one-on-one interaction. A post-meeting social is held at a restaurant to be determined at the end of the meeting.
From time to time, HAL5 will have a joint Pass the Torch lecture series with USSRC at the their National Geographic Theater. Pass the Torch features innovative, influential and interesting professionals from industry, academia and government speaking about their work in space, aeronautics, engineering, science research and other related fields. The Pass the Torch series is open to the public and is made possible by Jean Wessel Templeton and Linda J. Smith. A great way to reconnect with history, learn more about specialized topics, or even catch a glimpse of an exciting future, Pass the Torch inspires and educates young and old alike!
